“Where can I get a decent cup of coffee?” We’ll do you one better!La Terraza is the only place at LowLands where you can not only get a cup of one of the world’s leading brand’s coffee but you can have freshly made coffee cocktails and on top of that you can have them while you enjoy the best view of the festival.
When Nespresso approached Kumpany all they knew is that they wanted to appeal to a younger audience, that’s it. So we set out to find a way to not only solve their problem but solve a few other issues we had with festivals in general ;)

Every book deserves to be read and every child deserves acces to books. A simple but heartwarming premise for this yearly event organised by the Dutch Railway (NS) and CPMB.
I was lucky enough to do the Art Direction for the years 2019 and 2020. Always keeping things colourful and lighthearted while at the same time keeping everything in line with the rather strict guidelines coming from NS was a fun challenge. Also doing photoshoots with kids is the best lol.

Summer and office supplies don't really mix all that well, none the less we tried to create interesting parallels with the use of strong shapes and bright colours to create a fresh and inviting visual summer campaign.

This is a slightly different approach to promoting sustainable solutions for Staples, placing the focus on results while Staples works behind the scenes to achieve the otherwise impossible (or at least difficult). Invoking strong sentiments like: "Soar to new height", "Positive growth" etc.

One of the leading sports betting websites in the NL was looking to promote the awareness of their sponsorship of the Dutch National Soccer Cup. So they asked Kumpany to conceptualise a web based game with a great give away; a paid trip to 5 National Cup Finals throughout Europe.
The concept for the game was simple, the player gets a 360˚view of a Football stadium with the task to find the 2 green seats as fast as possible.

In 2016 Staples decided it was time to refresh the corporate identity. "We don't want to talk at our customers any more, we'd like to engage them in a conversation." was the core thought the business left with us so we started looking for ways to communicate that into the updated corporate identity.
Born out of the logo the Staples Speech Bubble gave them the means to literally talk with their customers.

With such easy acces to the internet and television it becomes harder for kids to be genuinely amazed. Also, recent studies indicate children are increasingly less interested in learning about science. Thats why De Jonge Akademie organised the 1st edition of EXPERIMENT EVENT; a weekend full of remarkable and memorable experiences in the name of science! Kumpany partnered up with Quest JR to partially curate and promote the event. NS was nice enough to sponsor the event and het Spoorwegmuseum in Utrecht made their central hall available for the entire weekend.

Way back in 2009 I was working alongside my mentor at the time Michiel Schuurman, we where fortunate enough to have the opportunity to design a campaign for Nai (Nederlands Architectuurinstituut). Open Fort 400 was architectural competition for a building site on the waterfront of Amterdam Noord.
Starting point for the contestants was the "open fort" Henry Hudson built in Manhattan. It was a fortress, but since the native Americans and the first colonists had only peaceful intentions, the fortress was never actually closed. Of course it all became a lot bloodier after this first period.
In sum: contestants were asked to submit ideas for an open fortress for the north of Amsterdam.
